Introduction
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) also refer to as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are among the common infections in the world. In the US, millions of new infections are diagnosed every year. During this intensive workshop, recent development in STIs would be covered which would help build the skills of participants in STIs and management.
Outcome
The course is based on the recommendation of World Health Organisation. At the end of this course, participants should have developed in-depth knowledge into the pathogenesis, treatment and prevention of STIs.

Teaching Methods
Interactive Lectures conducted online, Problem-solving exercise and case-based learning through a VLE platform. Course materials, including lecture notes and Power Point presentation, and other programme materials will be provided electronically.
Assessment
Formative and Summative assessment. Learners would provide feedback via 1000 word written essay after each module and a 4000 written summative essay.

Doctors, Nurses, registered midwives, physician associates, healthcare assistants in contraception/family planning, secondary care clinicians who may encounter patients with STIs ( such as O & G, A & E, rheumatology and ophthalmology), GPs, Practice nurses, health advisers, school nurses, pharmacists, sexual healthcare professionals.
