Introduction
Transfusion medicine is concerned with the transfusion of blood and blood components and has link with many specialists in the care industry. Blood transfusion is therefore one of the important tools in medicine that plays important and significant role in patient management. However, audits of clinical transfusion practices have consistently shown deficiencies in knowledge and practice that impacts patients’ safety.
